General Summary:

The Telforce Group is looking for a Director, Project Management & Reconciliation to oversee the planning and execution of all fiber construction projects including monitoring (budgets, premises, time, mileage), prioritization, communications, and quality control. This role will provide leadership and direction to the Project Managers and work with other Operations department heads to complete projects within authorized budgets, schedules, and performance specifications, while ensuring that departmental, safety, and company objectives are met. Provides overall strategic governance for projects by establishing standards, processes, and tools used for the effective project delivery.

Essential Job Functions:

The essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Partners with stakeholders to develop project plans, budgets, timelines and schedules.
  • Project pre-planning
  • Coordination of project schedules and budgets
  • Creating and implementing technical inspection and quality assurance procedures
  • Resolve issues in a timely manner to ensure internal and external commitments are met.
  • Communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Grant compliance
  • Invoice coordination
  • Budget and Spending tracking, trends, and reconciliation
  • Reporting on project milestones and updates
  • Demonstrates excellent problem-solving skills, self-motivation, leadership, and team orientation
  • Demonstrates analytic, technical, and organizational skills

  • Job Knowledge – Experience in telecommunications and project management principles
  • Flexibility – Must be able to work outside normal business hours when necessary

Qualifications:

  • 5 or more years program or project management driving cross-functional teams
  • Effective interpersonal and team building capabilities
  • Strong project planning, project budgeting and time management experience
  • Demonstrates expert knowledge and proven experience with Excel, Visio, and Google Suite
  • Demonstrates excellent verbal, written, analytical and communication skills
  • Demonstrates ability to influence organizational direction and initiatives across all leadership levels
  • Demonstrates excellent problem solving skills
  • Proven track record of leading multiple complex projects to successful completion
  • PMP certification preferred
  • Military experience desired
  • Project Management experience in the construction or deployment of telecommunications network equipment preferred
  • Broad understanding of telecommunications networks, Outside Plant Fiber, Optical Transmission Equipment technologies is preferred
  • May be required to travel and stay overnight to work
