We are currently seeking an Electrical Estimator/Project Manager to join our team! This role is responsible for estimating job cost and providing project management on turnkey installation projects including SOW development and vendor / client management from feasibility to construction complete and customer acceptance of work for invoicing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities  

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate activities needed to construct and maintain structures and electrical systems
  • Analyzes various reports, statements of work, construction drawings and electrical diagrams to prepare and develop electrical scope of work (SOW) as well as manage development of structural SOW both civil and aerial to meet customer requirements and timelines in accordance with local codes, environmental and other regulations
  • Understands and assists in the development of plans and specifications to identify the types and grades of materials and equipment needed to ensure compliance with project requirements
  • Applies working knowledge of electrical components, control panels, wiring diagrams, circuits, and transformer to the technical SOW
  • Prepare and provide cost estimates with detailed bill of materials (BOMs) to develop project budgets Serves as interface between customer, end client, vendors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams
  • Provides regular updates on project progress and status to internal and external teams
  • Ensures timely and cost-effective performance of duties
  • Obtains, reviews and drives subcontractor progress
  • Performs punch list and closeout activities for acceptance of SOW completed both internal and external teams
  • Creates detailed construction and installation plan to ensure customer dates and specifications are met Attends bid walks and other on-site or local area activities need to perform duties
  • Ensures each stage of the project is completed on time, on budget and to customer standards
  • Identify and pursue additional business opportunities

Managerial Responsibility

This position may manage multiple 3-5 member crews

Travel/Shift Requirements

This position requires up to 50% local travel and may require occasional overnight travel beyond local project area

Skills and Abilities Required

Ability to design/build conceptual budget estimates Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and electrical diagrams Maintain awareness of new and emerging technologies and their potential application on client engagements Working knowledge of electrical theory, and the associated principles, materials, and equipment Knowledge of the construction industry

Education and Experience Required

5+ years of estimating in the construction industry 5+ years of project management related experience in the construction industry High School diploma or GED required 3-5 years of experience working as a Licensed Journeyman Licensed journeyman electrician or licensed master electrician Prior experience in electrical estimating Bachelor of Science and/or Master of Science in engineering or construction related field from an accredited college or university is preferred
