Telforce is looking for OSP Construction Planners - Contract to Hire Positions - San Diego, CA - Base Pay $60,000
Construction Planner works with clients at a variety of sites to ensure job designs are efficient and productive. This position is responsible for performing virtual engineering of proposed residential and commercial projects and ensures alternative routing delivers the most cost-effective design for construction. Researches and reviews construction plans, gathers necessary data and listing material requirements for projects. Provides value engineering to assigned projects working within client platforms utilizing telecom industry standards.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with internal and external customers to communicate project tasks, and schedules
- Coordinates activities with other employees within our or the customer’s organization to ensure compliance and appropriate follow-through of policies, procedures, rules, rates, and completion dates applicable to his/her assigned projects
- Surveys proposed service routing and estimates materials, construction, and labor costs
- May order materials or coordinate with administrative personnel
- May verify and reconcile invoices for sub-contractors
- Working in tandem with other departments releases addresses as serviceable and notifies other departments of serviceability
Manage the document control process and ensure constant communication with the customer and both internal and external team members - Organize and maintain data in clear, accurate formats. Ensure project files are properly maintained and uploaded in customer database
- Coordinate with customer contractors, or 3rdparty vendors to track jobs from start to finish, review/approve invoices and work orders as required
- Escalate any project related issues that may impact completion and/or customer satisfaction
- Review, prepare, analyze, interpret all land and right of way related agreements, deeds, easements, leases, permits and licenses
- Assist the Project Manager with bidding and RFP responses including the participation in client presentations
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- 3-5 years’ experience with hybrid fiber coax networks
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in the document control process, project management or similar experience
- Ability to read and understand blueprint designs
- Thorough knowledge of compliance and regulations at the local and state level as it pertains to telecom hybrid fiber coax projects
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required
- Intermediate to Expert ability with Windows operating systems
- Ability to prioritize and complete assignments accurately and in a timely manner
- Able to effectively handle multiple priorities with a strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills
- Highly adaptive/flexible to changing environments and priorities and a self-starter
- Can work in a team or solo environment
